Weekend Wishes

     When the weekend comes around, we all have ideas for things we need to get done, and other things we would rather be doing.  For me, the things that involve my vehicles are going to always take priority over the other chores that always need to get accomplished.

     That is what this weekend is going to be like for me, and the main thing I’m looking forward to is the car wash and detailing of my Mustang. The weather is good, and the time spent with my favorite car will be the highlight of my weekend.

Car Guy

      Every time I walk through my garage, I can’t help but give a loving smile as I see my car sitting there. I can’t help it, I’m a lifelong car guy. My beautiful yellow 2015 Mustang GT is nine years old now, and only has 24,000 miles on it. It is always kept clean and polished, I am an obsessive care taker of all my vehicles, no matter what they are, but especially my performance cars. 

     Most people can see from my posts on social media, that I am a car enthusiast, and if they are familiar with my book, they know I have been in this my whole life. That’s who I am, a car guy.

Never Enough

      Every day we post the best pictures of our favorite cars on our social media pages.  As I look through all the different cars that appear every day, I try to repost the ones that stand out to me as the most beautiful photos. When I see all the pictures of those new square, flat, Cybertrucks, it makes me wonder where our automotive future is headed. 

     Maybe I’m stuck in the past, but I still prefer the look of a Shelby Mustang, or other beautiful performance car, over what they are telling us our future will look like. I will keep posting the pictures of the ones I love, because, for me there is never enough. 

Beautiful Dreams

      Looking back on the many Mustangs that I’ve owned in the past, some still stand out as the most beautiful. The one on my mind today is the lush red 2013 GT that I had ten years ago. Many features of that car made it a beautiful piece of the long Mustang history.

     The rich red tri-coat paint color was beautiful, and made the many classic Mustang styling features really stand out. The great looking hood vents, the position of the lights in the grill, and the classic position of the headlights gave it a beautiful frontend look. I loved so many things about that car. Every time I see a picture of one of those models, it brings back beautiful memories.

 My book; “Grab Some Gears - 40 Years of Street Racing”  is a car enthusiasts history of how I got started at an early age, and progressed through the years. It has gotten great reviews from other car enthusiasts who have read it.  They tell me it brings back great memories of their own experiences.

Just a Dream

     Sometimes looking back on my life, it seems like it was all just a dream. Especially when I think back over all the nice performance cars I’ve owned. When I think of the way things are going these days, and the younger generation growing up in these times, there’s not much chance they will ever have the kind of car experiences I had in my lifetime.  Everything is so different now, and the direction things are headed in the future, maybe my life was all just a dream.

Mustang Monday

      Follower’s of this blog, or my social media accounts, are well aware that my favorite vehicles are Ford Mustangs.  Today is the start of a new week, so it’s Mustang Monday again.  As I looked through my photos, I realized that I have been sorting through this file for several years now. I keep adding new photos, and deleting out some old ones, trying to save the best collection to use on my social media posts. This is the one I’m selecting for today, hope you like it.
