For those of us who have been in the performance car hobby for many years now, a lot of things have changed, and some things have changed very much. A subject I’m very familiar with, is the way the style of “street racing” has completely changed in the last 60 years.
Back when I first discovered the activity, in my teenage years of the mid-1960’s, it was a lot different than the way it was during my last experiences in the early 2000’s. It can be compared to the scenes of a couple different popular movies that most people may be familiar with. Starting out with the classic movie “American Graffiti” , and the type of down town street scenes that film portrayed. Then compare that to the outrageous craziness of the more recent “Fast and Furious” movie series.
