Songs of Life

From an early age, I’ve always been a music lover. It started with a summer I spent living with my grandparents when I was 12 years old.  I heard the neighbor girls playing the popular music outside on their radios, and fell in love with it. To this day, it is still some of my favorite music.  Like the Patsy Cline hits, and the early Four Seasons songs.   A few years later, it was the car songs that were some of my favorites, as I started driving and became the car guy that I still am today.

Now there are many more emotional songs that I love to listen to, and have stronger meaning in this modern life we live in today. Like “The Dance” by Garth Brooks, or “One More Day” by Diamond Rio. And there are still many long time favorites like; “Don’t Let The Sun Catch You Crying” by Gerry and the Pacemakers, or “Last Song” by Edward Bear.   I listen to many, almost every night on YouTube.

Shelby Saturday

Another weekend is here, and it’s  “Shelby Saturday” again. That always takes me back with memories of the only Shelby Mustang I ever owned. It was a beautiful 2007 GT 500, and a great time in my automotive history.

That car was part of my life for six years, and only one of the many great cars I have owned over the years, but it was the only Shelby, and still holds a special spot in my automotive memories. I have always imagined I might someday have another Shelby Mustang, but as the years go by, that idea gets more unlikely. That just makes all my old memories more precious to me as the years pass.

My 2007 Shelby GT 500 ,   just a beautiful memory now.

Tell Your Story

By the title, you would think my book is all about street racing, and it is to some extent. But it starts in my early years, and contains a lot of my personal history as well. Through the years, my personal life changed along with the following of my car racing hobby. The book is telling my story, along with the changes in the street racing culture throughout those 40 years. Everyone should write down your own story, and pass it along to future generations.
